Terms of Service
1. Purpose of the website
The website explains CVPC’s property assessment services, provides information for property owners and guests, and links to property information and related organizations. General website information is not an individual inspection report, valuation, legal opinion, engineering opinion, insurance decision, or promise of financial performance.
2. Inquiries and service agreements
Sending an inquiry requests information or a response. It does not by itself book an inspection, create a paid service agreement, guarantee eligibility, or award certification. The actual provider, scope, price, scheduling, payment arrangements, cancellation terms, correction process, and any additional conditions must be established for the particular service before you commit to it. A separately agreed service contract governs that service. These website terms do not replace that contract or create new refund or recurring-payment arrangements.
3. Assessment and certification
A certification claim must be read together with the actual certificate, property identity, assessment scope, grade, inspection date, expiry date, and current status. A grade describes the applicable assessment criteria and findings; it is not a guarantee that every defect was found or that the property will remain unchanged. Payment for an assessment does not guarantee a particular grade or certification.
A candidate or proposed property is not a currently certified property. An expired, suspended, or withdrawn certificate must not be represented as current. Illustrative samples and case studies are not substitutes for a property-specific current certificate. Contact CVPC if you cannot verify a claim.
4. Scope and limitations
Condition assessment, financial analysis, beach proximity, amenities, hospitality service, and construction progress are different subjects. Only the subjects expressly covered by the relevant assessment are included. Private CVPC certification is not itself a government permit, building-code approval, professional engineering assessment, environmental test, hotel-star award, or LEED certification. Where a regulated or specialist service is needed, the appropriate qualified professional or authority must provide it.
Condition can change after an inspection because of use, damage, weather, repairs, or other events. Financial estimates depend on their data and assumptions and do not guarantee income, investment return, financing, or resale value. Guests and owners should make the additional checks appropriate to their circumstances.
5. Property listings and bookings
Availability, prices, deposits, occupancy rules, cancellation conditions, payments, and guest services are determined by the identified booking provider or property manager. Following a listing or certificate link does not book a stay with CVPC. Review the provider’s listing and contract and confirm material property details before booking. CVPC information does not replace the manager’s obligations or the guest’s statutory or contractual rights.
6. Affiliated and external organizations
The website may refer to OBHOA/OBXHOA, property managers, construction businesses, stores, and other organizations with business relationships to CVPC. A link is not proof of independence, universal endorsement, or certification of every service supplied by that organization. Check the stated relationship and the relevant property-specific assessment.
You may choose whether to follow external links. External sites have their own operators, information, policies, prices, and terms. Certification inquiries are not automatic requests for unrelated affiliated-business marketing.
7. Information you submit
Provide accurate information that you are authorized to share. Do not submit other people’s confidential records, payment-card details, passwords, malicious files, or misleading certificate claims through this website. Ask for an appropriate transfer method before providing sensitive assessment documents. Information handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Content and certificate use
You may view and share links to public CVPC information for legitimate reference. Do not alter a certificate, remove its dates or limitations, reuse a badge for another property, or imply an assessment that has not occurred. Obtain permission before reproducing substantial website content or using CVPC marks commercially. Rights in third-party photographs, logos, and materials remain with their respective owners.
9. Responsible website use
Do not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate another person, submit spam, or use the site to mislead owners or guests. Access to website features may be limited to address misuse, security concerns, or maintenance. This does not remove obligations arising under a separate service agreement or applicable law.
10. Corrections and complaints
If you believe a property address, grade, status, image, listing link, or other statement is inaccurate, contact info@cvpc-us.com with the page address and relevant details. Owners seeking review of an assessment should identify the property and assessment and explain the disputed finding. Do not include sensitive personal or financial records in an initial public or general inquiry. CVPC will identify an appropriate route for supporting information.
11. Website availability, updates, and legal rights
We aim to provide useful and accurate information, but pages may contain errors or be temporarily unavailable. Confirm important details with CVPC or the identified service provider before acting. We may correct website content or update these terms; the revision date above identifies the current version. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies, or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Changes to these website terms do not automatically change a separately agreed assessment or booking contract.
